Deals of the Week… Going, Going, Almost Gone! (9/6/13 Edition)

Here are 10 deals from the past week (Aug. 30 to Sept. 6) that you really liked or we thought were pretty good… and even better, are actually still valid, but not for long:

1) Cheap(er) Chicken

Get a Two-Piece Original Recipe Boneless Chicken Meal for $2.99 when you use this coupon. It’s normally 5 bucks. Save a couple bucks so you can get a couple 99-cent burritos next door at Taco Bell. Sounds delicious, doesn’t it?

2) Making Kids Less Annoying For Free

The Kindle eBook version of Teaching Kids to Be Good People: Progressive Parenting is $0 at Amazon. Lots of good reviews — possibly from the author’s kids, I’m sure.

If you don’t have kids, you can pick up A Little Bit of Everything For Dummies Kindle ebook for free. Or splurge and get both.

3)  Keep Your Valuables Free From Sticky Fingers, Except Yours

A top-rated eBay seller has this Hidden Wall Biometric Safe with Fingerprint Lock (right) for $170 with free shipping. You’re saving $30 off the regular price and giving your fingerprints something useful to do.

4) Make Your Bathroom Look Like the Deck of a Starship

Amazon with Sunvalleytek has 16-feet of TaoTronics LED Strip Lights for $28 shipped with coupon code. You’re saving about $9 off the usual price. Go for the deal and stay for the customer videos.

5) Just Do It… Less Expensively

Nordstrom is pricey but its sales are usually pretty good. This week, the fancy department store is taking 40% to 50% off a selection of Nike shoes. As usual, shipping is free and so are returns. You can also pick it up in the store.

6) Just Do It… Less Expensively Part II

If you don’t find the Nikes you’re looking for at Nordstrom, try Finish Line which has a big End of Season Sale going on right now. Plus, you can get $10 off purchases of $60 or more with a coupon code. Shipping is usually $5, although you can pick up some items in the store. In the mall, sorry.

7) Make Tool Time Deal Time

If you’re not too particular about your tools, you can pick up cheap ones at Harbor Freight. Get an extra 25% off one item with a coupon code. Shipping is around $6, but you can pick up some items in the store if you’ve got one nearby.

8) It Sucks (But Not the Deal)

Hoover is having a pretty good Private Factory Sale right now. Some items end up much cheaper than Amazon, like the Dirt Devil Tattoo Crimson Bouquet Bagged Canister (at right) for $40 with free shipping. Amazon has the same one for $79.

9) Get Organized for a Buck

Home Depot is selling a 6 qt. Sterilite Storage Box for 99 cents each. You can order them online but you have to pick them up in the store.

10) Still Time for a Back-to-School Laptop

This refurbished 14″ Asus Q400A 3rd Gen Core i7 Laptop (below) for $505 at Newegg has been pretty popular on Ben’s Bargains lately. If you check out using Visa’s V.me online payment service (with any credit card), you can save yourself another $20 with VME20BTS. A lot of specs for a low price.
