Razer is Cutting All of It’s Gaming Gear by 50% for 24 Hours

By on January 12, 2015

For its newly displayed Forge TV, Razer won two separate awards at this year’s CES – Best of CES (Gaming) and Best of CES (People’s Choice). That’s a big deal for the company, apparently, since they’re celebrating by cutting the prices for all of its gaming gear by exactly half (except consoles, which are only down 30 percent) over on its online hub. The deal goes active at 6 p.m. PST today, Jan 12, and will last until 5:59 p.m. PST tomorrow, Jan 13.

This is all according to the Razer Facebook page, which reads,”Well, you guys will know we rarely (if ever) do sales or promotions, but we have a custom at Razer that when we have a mega win like this – we have a victory lap and celebrate together with our fan base with a mega sale.”

There is one catch. To access the deal you’ll need a unique RazerStore code, which you can only get if you’re signed up for the Razer Insider program. You can get the details on that here. Just be sure to do it soon since the website’s servers are sure to be pretty backed up for the next day.

The reason for all this happening is the Forge TV, and you can learn more about the new Android-powered microconsole here. The most notable feature is the ability to swap seamlessly and continue the same game between your mobile device and the Forge TV. It will also allow you to stream your PC games to your TV on a local network.

This is the fifth year in a row Razer has won the coveted “Best of CES” award. The team is hoping to get the ball rolling for CES 2016 as soon as possible, according to the Facebook post.

“5 out of 5 – Best of CES – but we’re certainly not going to sit on our laurels, our advanced tech team is already working on CES 2016 and we’ll most certainly be looking to make it 6 out of 6 then.”
