Shut Up and Take My Money: LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Set

By on October 27, 2015

shut_up_and_take_my_moneyOffering up nearly 20 percent more pieces than the LEGO Death Star, the LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse set pays homage to the iconic NYC building that was featured in the two Ghostbusters movies.

The two floors of the firehouse include the ghost containment unit, the living quarters, the fire pole as well as Egon’s laboratory.

The set also includes the four main Ghostbusters (Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler and Winston Zeddemore) as well as Slimer, Janine Melnitz, Dana Barrett, Louis Tully, the library ghost from the first film, and a zombie ghost driver. In addition, there’s a nod to Ghostbusters II with the pink slime bubbling up from the sidewalk to the right of the main building.

Prior to this point, the only Ghostbusters set available through LEGO was the ECTO-1 Ghostbusters car, complete with paranormal detection equipment, removable roof, tracking computer and seats for 3 minifigures. That set is priced at $49.99. It’s unclear if the ECTO-1 will fit in the firehouse.

Totaling up to 4,634 pieces, the Ghostbusters Firehouse set will retail for $349.99 and be available during January 2016. You can find more early pictures of the set below:
