By on November 19, 2019

Shopping for boxes of LEGOs or specific LEGO sets this year? We’ve looked through all the Black Friday ads and broken down where you can get the cheapest sets of LEGOs (price per brick), the best overall percentage discount on LEGO sets, a huge discount on a Star Wars set  and a tip for exclusive LEGO sets.

Cheapest Price per Brick LEGO set: $20 (900 brick set)

If you are looking for an inexpensive way to get a LEGO collection started, you really can’t do better than Walmart’s annual Black Friday sale on bulk LEGO sets. At this price point (50% off), that brings the price per brick down to just over 2 cents each.

This particular LEGO Classic set comes with 900 bricks and also comes with a variety of eyes, wheels, doors, windows and hinges for creative builds. Also, if you are buying for a child between 1.5 and 3 years old, Walmart has a 120-piece LEGO Duplo set on sale for the same price.

Best Overall Percentage Discount on LEGOs: 30% at Kohl’s

Not only are you getting 30% off select LEGO sets at Kohl’s, you will also be able to earn Kohl’s cash on your purchase. For instance, this LEGO City set would get you an additional $15 back in Kohl’s Cash, ultimately bringing the cost down to 50% off.

If you want a backup sale, check out Best Buy’s 25% off discount on LEGO sets. It’s possible that Best Buy will have a larger selection of sets to choose from (online). It’s likely that Amazon will pricematch LEGO sets during the sales as well.

Best Discount on a Star Wars LEGO Set

Yesterday, Amazon announced a massive 40 percent discount on one of the most complex Star Wars LEGO sets, the Ultimate Millennium Falcon! This LEGO set has a huge price tag at $799.99, thus a 40% discount will bring it down to $480!

That’s a $120 price drop from the previous price low, $600 back during December 2018. That also reduces the price per LEGO brick to about 6.5 cents. Of course, you will need a huge chunk of time to complete the entire 7,541 piece set.

Best Place to Find Exclusive LEGO sets?

This year, LEGO.com is debuting a couple exclusives. If you spend $120 or more on the site, you will receive an exclusive LEGO Christmas tree. The site is also offering a free Olaf’s Traveling Sleigh set with any Frozen-themed purchase over $50 as well as a free mini-Batmobile with any purchase of the 1989 LEGO Batmobile.

Beyond that, LEGO will have their own 30% off sale for VIP members of their site as well as earning double rewards points for purchases. It’s free to sign up for LEGO VIP and does offer early access to exclusive sets, if that’s your thing.

Regarding online sales, be aware that Amazon will aggressively price-match or undercut many of these deals prior or during Black Friday. Watch the main Ben’s feed for the latest LEGO deals.
