12 Amusing Photoshop Mockups of Apple’s new Mac Pro

If you happened to miss the news earlier this week, Apple announced a new version of the Mac Pro desktop computer with a radically different design than previous models. The computer has been designed to fit within a case shaped like a cylinder that’s just slightly smaller than a regulation football. The entire system is specifically wrapped around a unified aluminum thermal core that helps cool the CPU, GPU and everything else inside the machine.

The design allows Apple to diffuse the heat evenly around the core. There’s a single fan at the bottom of the device that’s pushing air through the unit and vents the heat at the top of the case. Ideally designed for video editors, the Mac Pro comes with Thunderbolt 2 technology as well as four HDMI 1.4 ports and Gigabit Ethernet compatibility.

After the Mac Pro was announced on Monday, graphic designers in Japan and the United States had a field day mocking up other uses for the cylinder-shaped device. Check out some of the best Photoshop mockups below:
