Retro Superhero and Movie Hero Art
A few months ago, comic book artist Phil Noto’s rendition of Mark Hamill as a Jedi Knight 30 years after Return of the Jedi got fans really excited about the new Star Wars movies. His retro style is evocative of ’60s art and design and his works are featured in shows and galleries around the country.
Noto used to be a Disney animator before moving on to illustrate a variety of comic books from Superman and Batgirl to The Avengers and Wolverine.
