Leases are for suckers. Yeah, I said it. They are just a long-term rental with no equity. U can't make sense of all the contracts that are skewed in favor of the dealers, either. So, go ahead and drink the EV cool-ade.
Normally I would agree on the "leases are for suckers" because financially they are hard to justify. However, with electric vehicles, they will NOT be holding their value, and in 3 years on the used car market they are essentially value-less. Technology is moving so fast now, that EVs are essentially an electronic product rather than a vehicle product. Electronics have a much steeper devaluation curve (like a Mercedes AMG product) so in this case a lease might not be objectionable.
Rest assured that leasing a vehicle will net you less money in the end, after 3 years, versus a purchase-and-sale, but I think it's much close to even with EVs. Also if you purchase and EV, you BETTER get rid of it before the warranty expires, and if you don't you will be wishing you had done the lease.
The elites need you to buy this and other retarded electric vehicles so the new beachfront houses they're building about 12" above sea level (because they're worried about "totally real" global warming...) don't get flooded. Won't someone think of the billionaires? - MrBeano

2000 moving parts on a gas engine v/s 18 moving parts on an EV engine. 3-5 year (36-60k mile warranty) on a gas car v/s 8-year (100,000-mile warranty inc batteries) on an EV. No oil changes, no emission hoops to jump through. Instant horsepower and torque. Gas/Electricity prices vary of course. In the South you have cheaper gas than some place like California and not as great a charging network but it's getting better. On a side note, my city is an evacuation safe zone. When those houses on the coast are about to get hit from a hurricane, those people are coming here and filling every hotel to the max. Very few of them are billionaires with beachfront property, but their houses still get damaged or destroyed and their electricity and water still goes out for days or weeks, and they still die in those storms.

Aside from mocking the stupidity of having these obviously sponsored car and house "deals" on here, my point is that "climate change" is a total hoax invented by those in power to acquire more power through a manufactured "crisis" as evidenced by the fact that they're building their new houses in areas they claim will soon be underwater. CO2 is a very small portion of the total greenhouse gases, much less than water vapor and methane. CO2 is also naturally limiting because more CO2 equals more lush vegetation, which is good for humans because it promotes higher crop yields. If you want an electric car because you like electric car performance and can live with the huge limitations on mileage, more power to you but they do nothing to help the environment considering the huge industrial/mining base needed to produce. The "sudden extreme weather" is another hoax perpetrated by the leftist media based on short observation windows.
That's an ugly car. At least the ionic 6 looks kind of like a Porsche. Gets a similar offer too. - VCU804
Not as bad as that Chevy Bolt that stunk up the front page for days. I believe there is a Federal law that all EVS must look ugly so people can virtue signal that they are being green.

It was global warming until record cold temperatures proved it was a fraud so they changed it to global climate change so not matter what the weather, they would never be wrong. Then whenever there is an incident of bad weather they claim it is climate change but when you point out the weather has been good for months they say weather isn't climate. Not a single dooms day climate change prediction in the past 50 years has ever come true but people with no purpose in life latch onto this fraud to feel important. It's a made up fraud to tax people. The government can't control a virus, homelessness, crime, or wildfires but they can change the climate if you just pay more taxes? GTFO with that BS.

NEVER turn in a lease. Sell it, trade it in, never return / turn in/ a lease. More than likely that lease has equity. I will agree with current money factors leasing is not a good deal. The $2xx Camry's with $0 down are long gone.
My 2016 Forester was worth so much, I sold it and was able to finance most of a 3 year lease on a 22 model to wait and see whether to buy hybrid or electric at lease end.

Debating climate change, merits of EVs, or politics in general on Ben's seems like a fruitless effort.
