You can opt for the Vehicle-to-load (V2L) on these.
Use the batteries to power 120/220V appliances up to ~~3kW for emergencies or if your field work requires it.
The styling is not to my taste, most sedans, SUV, xover's have a basic generic look to them. If drive u through most parking lots, you'll see the same colors and styling. (Gray, silver, white, black)
OMG... $5000 up front just so they can charge me 330 a month. What's so great about that deal. Then you have to give it back. - rawhide
The elites need you to buy this and other retarded electric vehicles so the new beachfront houses they're building about 12" above sea level (because they're worried about "totally real" global warming...) don't get flooded. Won't someone think of the billionaires?

$330x36=$11,800 +$5008=$16,808 out of pocket for 3 years with no car at the end of the 3 years. v/s Buying. MSRP = $45,000, 5% interest with $5008 down and paying $332/mo would take you almost 14 years to pay it off. Will you have any equity in 14 years, I dunno. It's more complicated than that, of course. I personally prefer buying to leasing but I could see how leasing could work out in your favor if you have your heart set on this particular car, especially if you live in an area of the US with high gas prices and low cost electricity. No oil changes, no emission inspections, and likely no brake pads/rotors (I never had to deal with brake maintenance on the Prius due to the regen braking, this seems similar). And like another person mentioned, EVs are fun to drive, lots of torque and pickup. Also with the innovation in the EV market, a 14-year-old EV will likely fall behind technology-wise.
Interesting the Gov't rebate is also $7,500. Almost looks like the deal takes the leasors $7,500 rebate and claims to be a bonus doesn't it. Hmmm. - LambLover
Yes, leasing it is a way to get the $7500 government EV subsidy which this car is not eligible for in case of purchasing it.
