A buddy of mine has sling TV. We failed when we tried to watch the latest walking dead through it and I doubt it was due to the chromecast. I bet the service still has some bugs to work out. Anyone else experience this?
Obviously you need to first figure out if the list of channels available on SlingTV will meet your needs
We do miss a couple of shows here and there but for the most part we can get by with SlingTV, mostly because of AMC, IFC, and ESPNs.
The other important thing is to have a fast router. I had a cheap TP-link that worked for Netflix and but Sling TV was seriously lagging. I got a CellSpot from Tmobile and that has made a world of difference.
Has anyone else used Sling? I want to cut the cord and get rid of Directv
yup, using sling now. some caveats that come up: only one device at a time. sometimes it hangs on certain devices (ok on my iphone, doesn't work on my wife's iphone. go figure). some channels you can view recently aired programs, some channels you cannot. depends on their agreements with the channels
