If you do want to get iphone x: Make sure you hide it before fall asleep. Some one can unlock your phone easily by scanning ur face. Then your little secret is no more secret. :)

So how is that different that when you fall asleep and someone uses your fingers to unlock your phone?

I don't get the fan boy fuss. If you prefer to be "more" "in control" you get an Android with the options you desire. If you prefer to "be controlled" you get an Apple. Different strokes for different folks.

It is as old as time. Ford vs Chevy. Xbox vs PS?. Android vs Apple. Everyone's got their favorite. I happen to like both platform. I save my money to buy what I like. End of story.

They will not touch you at all when scanning your face. But thy have to move your finger to get finger print.

"Some people can afford the luxury version of some cars, some cant. Some can but don't want to. These are android people. Car gets you from point A to B, has alot of basic features like ac, power windows, rear camera."

There's a problem with that analogy. The iPhone is the basic model with fewer features when compared to Android flagships. Yes, Apple did copy a lot of those features this time around, but not nearly all of them.

"why these things aren't $5000 is beyond me."

They're not $5000 because they've got $300 worth of parts be labor, and they'd sell less than 1/100th as many.

I'm an iPhone user, and I find these "upgrades" underwhelming. Seriously, the 8 would have been a tiny upgrade even if they called it 7s, which is what it is. The 8 is just awkward with the notched display. no home button, and the face unlock... for an increase of $300 to lose features I'm used to. The X might grow on me over time as the reviews come in and the price goes down on places like Swappa, but I won't get in line for it.

I have the iPhone 8 and it has the home button and no notched display. I like it much better than the Galaxy 7 that I traded in.

I suppose I am contributing to the problem, but I am tired of seeing a product at full MSRP clogging up a "deal" website.

I don's see anyone complaining about the cost of the Note 8 at $930 nor anyone lining up for the S pen. Features don't mean much (TouchWiz or Bixby anyone?) if no one uses or want them. And if you compare the resale value of the iPhone vs the other flagships, iPhone holds up better.

As an iPhone user (6s Plus from 2 years ago, got $200+ discount from trading in iPhone 4) and a bargain hunter, I can totally see why people are whining about the $1000 price tag, but at the same time, Apple's user experience really hasn't been matched on the Android platform, even with flagship devices. There are some aspects where having multiple manufacturers can be an advantage (choices of design, price points, etc.), but it can also be a disadvantage (very uneven user experience depending on manufacturer).

I have used an HTC HD2 that was hacked to run Android 2.2 for around a year, and also hacked it to run WIndows Mobile for also about a year, and then switched to iPhone 4, and although of the 3 platforms, my favorite was Windows, I ended up staying with iOS because it's so easy for the rest of my family (also on iOS) to use iMessage, FaceTime, etc. And they have hardly called me for tech support since I migrated all of them to iOS. The stability that Apple offers by controlling both software and hardware really cannot be understated, although I'm sure plenty of Android fanboys will cry about how they like to control every aspect of their user experience. Sure, that's fine for some of you, but the rest of us just wanna use a phone for work, and would rather not spend too much time tinkering with it. It's not that I don't have the capability to do it, it's that I have better ways of spending my time nowadays.

If the biggest reason you can think of for hating something the price, just chalk it up to people having different priorities than you. No need to call names. Do you feel the need to belittle people who own expensive clothing, vehicles, etc.? If you do, then maybe you need to look within to see why you can only feel better by putting down others.

I am in for the X. I don't see any flagship phone out there that cost significantly less. Even the Note 8 cost $930. I think flagship phones are all going to be in the 1k range. Anything less will be older flagships or "flagship killers".

So Huawei announced their next flagship Mate 10 priced starting 4299CNY, that's about 644.54USD today. The device will go on to store around next month.

Almost all smartphones are made in China...

However, I personally will never buy Huawei or TPLink because I don't trust those companies. Both companies have been caught with root kits or spyware that sends your info back to China previously. Recently BLU had unintentionally allowed one of their software partners put an app that sends user data to China, so they're also on the list now.
