Prime is definitely worth it. Between the TV, free shipping, and all the random deals and incentives to Prime members, I get more than my money's worth.

ing committed shoppers (like me) that gave a discount on multi-year signups.

Amazon
isn't what it used to be. I've been a customer since 2003 and have to say they were fantastic when they first started. Lately they have been dropping the ball on multiple issues.
For one, prime isn't free 2-day shipping on everything from
Amazon
like it used to be. I find heavier items (cat litter) shows up as "standard shipping" even though it's "sold and shipped by
Amazon
". This used to be a 2-day free shipping item.
Next, what's up with "Pantry Box" items, some items are just available via Pantry Box, reminds me of Costco.... Have to buy a case even if you just need one.
Then there is the new AMZL US shipping which basically isn't trackable other than by using
Amazon
's website.
But the biggest failure has been returns! I recently purchased two items as a gift.
Amazon
shipped them separately even though they were purchased in the same (1) gift order. The person didn't want the items so I went to return them.
Amazon
REQUIRED me to return them as two separate shipments regardless of the fact that they were both going back to the EXACT SAME address. Basically I had to pay 10% of the cost in shipping to return one item and 84% of the cost in shipping to return the other item. So my refunds were 90% and 16% of the purchase prices. WHY????? They both would have fit in the same box and where from the same order.

I will NEVER purchase an item from
Amazon
as a gift and have paired back my other purchases as well. Bye bye Prime.

I resisted Prime for years but I'm glad I got it last year. I use the 2-day shipping occasionally, but that isn't even the best feature to me. If you choose "no-rush" shipping, you usually get a $1 credit towards a digital download, which I mostly use for buying MP3s. That almost lets Prime pay for itself right there. Also, the music streaming is pretty good. There are a few good things on
Amazon
Video, but it's definitely no Netflix.
