Can you gift this and then use it yourself later, as in after your Prime expires? I think that worked the last go around.

We have had a prime membership for about 5 years and definitely get our money's worth. we place over 150
Amazon
orders in 2015 and see looking to be over 300 this year.

Canceled mine. Pricing is pretty standard if you shop online enough. Rating system is becoming like yelp. Return policy has tightened up. Shipping has slowed.

Guess now is the time to take advantage of it. I didn't join since I mostly buy stuff on
Amazon
during the holidays. Lately, I've been needing to get stuff from there, but trying to find extra stuff to take advantage of free shipping have been a pain, especially when they raised the minimum price.

An unexpected perk of Prime: I just watched The Highlander on Prime Movies, and that version had an extra scene where McCloud guns down a ****, which wasn't on my old VHS copy. It came as quite a surprise.

So if you needed an extra reason, there's that. Or you could look it up on youtube.

Great...now Prime wins WWII

Yep, once they hook you, they figure they've got you. Guess they'll find differently, when mine expires, come February.

Same here. I'm not going to renew either.

I dropped my Prime in September. Since then I have found the same items on
ebay.
Often with free shipping. Even the same seller in two cases.

I'm one of those that uses PRIME - ALL THE TIME. 99.9% of the time, it's cheaper than anything else around, except maybe
eBay
- and shipping in never 2 day with them. My favorite thing to order: Cat food. 13 lb bag arrives at my doorstep and it beats picking it up in the store and hauling to my truck (boy, am I lazy?) and it's $2.00 cheaper. Yeeeap, I'm hooked!

I left
Amazon
for
eBay.
I dropped my Prime membership when they changed the order confirmation emails to links to their website. I told them I needed them for my records, they responded; you can wait for the items to ship, then do these 6 steps to get the invoice and then import them back into email to store them like I used to...... nope. That, and the $49 minimum for free shipping..... I have replaced them with eBay for 99% of my purchases for the last year and have not regretted it.
