This is a great deal. With the coming backward compatibility update on the Xbox one, folks will want that 1TB harddrive to download and play available Xbox 360 titles.

are you required to have the camera in order to play xbox one? I am every against the privacy issues that the camera involves.

You're not required to have the camera (Kinect) unless you are using it to play Kinect games.
