I wouldn't.

There's a reason these devices were returned, and in contrast to many devices, many suffer from the types of intermittent bugs which are nearly impossible to validate for.

The one time I bought Wyze products refurb, the wifi was intermittent. Bad experience. That was on more than one device. One I caught in time to return, and the other -- I just have an unreliable camera now I can't really use.

I feel okay buying things refurb if they're e.g. off-lease laptops, upgrades, or things which are easy for technicians to quickly and cheaply test and fix.

These kinds of devices are not easy to validate working. A doorbell which talks Bluetooth with a miscalibrated radio might not ring one in ten times, or if it's a little too warm. You won't even know you missed something.

You're getting at most $5 of technician time validating a device like this, and it's luck-of-the-draw.

I think it's actually just as bad for Wyze to be selling these in the first place. Unreliable products harm their brand reputation.

Wyze 's new v2 doorbell does everything better. Which is why this is worthless.
