Do yourself a favor. Skip this and get a pass through crimper. You’ll thank me later. Much easier making cables.

I was about to write the same thing. It's a hassle to work with long cable or cut in middle of the cable when end is not available.

Might depend on how much cable you're running, whether a little hassle and lower cost makes sense. A lot of my tools aren't high end, just good enough to get the job done. Never used this crimper in particular though...
Amazon
reviews are fairly good except for one that stated their specimen had a die that didn't align with the pins so I'd examine it for defects upon receipt.

The better ones also have the sheath stripper built in to it. So you not only get a better tool, but have to lug around less. Worth the extra $5-10.

Wildred- I bought a passthrough and it’s so much easier and quicker. The difference is a small blade to slice off the ends. I make all my cables of any length
It’s too easy and can’t beat the price.

Depends on who you ask... "good" crimp tools cost more than $5-10 more.
