Remember, if you have high speed devices (external hard drive, webcam, etc.), you'll slow them down if you have more than one in use at the same time. Slow devices (mouse, etc) will work fine here.
USB3 has enough throughput that it wouldn't slow down a couple of concurrent streams from HDDs and/or webcams nearly as much as two SSDs. I move files between a couple of HDDs on same hub all the time.
