I thought the last deal for $40 was good and as low as it would ever get. If you're on TF you should buy as many of these as they allow. It comes with a year card (not tied to any of the included SIMS), can be applied to an existing phone, you don't need to use the SIM for a new phone.
This is an incredible deal for someone with my cell needs. Been on TF for years. It only allowed me to purchase two though.
Two questions please: 1.Can you keep your existing number? 2. Is there any time limit to activate (I have an existing 1 yr Red Pocket plan that doesn't expire until November)?
^ Yes, because this comes with a separate year card (unlike some other TF offers), you don't need to activate a new sim, so it can be applied to an account/phone/number you already have. You can port your number to TF, that is a normal thing to do.
I don't know if there is a time limit, but in the past I have seen a limit of a year to activate so I would do it within a year, though ideally I'd do it within a month so you have the extra protection of the payment method and the dispute process if anything goes wrong. Nothing went wrong when I got this deal last time, went smooth as could be adding the card # on TF's website.
You could contact them (the seller, through ) and ask more specific questions, but you might find that this sells out while waiting for an answer because this price doesn't even make sense, how low it is...
For a long time, it was considered a deal on TF to just get a year extended service for $50, with no data, texts, or minutes. I just hope they aren't about to declare bankruptcy and this is their last cash grab, lol.

I should elaborate that if you are moving from a different service provider, you can port your number over to TF but will need to use one of the SIMs included in this kit, unless you also switch to a TF branded phone, then could transfer to the SIM already in it.
Please be advised that the SIM card included in the item must be activated within 60 days from the date of purchase. Also, we would like to clarify that the aforementioned item is intended for customers who are trying to activate a BYOP (Bring Your Own Phone) device with a new TracFone Wireless phone number. If you plan to insert the SIM card on an active/inactive TracFone device, then it will not work.
^ If you contact them then they will give you the official party line, or if it is only level 1 support, their reply may be just plain wrong.
The last time I got this exact listing, a couple months ago, I added the year and buckets to an existing TF branded phone. It was not necessary to use any of the SIMs. This is in contrast to some of their other SIM + year packages where they only include ONE sim and the service is tied to that SIM, where all you did was activate the SIM and the airtime automatically showed up on it.
This case is different that you go to their website, enter in your phone #, then enter in the activation code behind the scratch off panel on the 1yr card they send.
However, it would also work to put one of these SIMs in an inactive phone. I had a different TF phone, that had some glitch where it wouldn't activate (came with a bundle from QVC), and the tech giving instructions on what to do, had me put one of the SIMs from the bundle in. That didn't make the phone work by itself, but eventually when the tech figured out what was wrong, the SIM was left in and activated fine.
Another crazy thing about this deal is not only the price, but that they are spending extra to 2nd Day Airmail these. Mine has an ETA of tomorrow.
This is the same listing I bought one from a couple months ago, but they are not sending the separate activation card, at least I didn't get one, just what appears to be the OTHER item they were selling on a different listing which was just a GSM SIM.
This does not make sense to me, why they would keep the same listing and reuse it for a different product when they already had a valid listing for this product sent, unless they just goofed and sent me the wrong thing because the virus has caused some temp worker to take over filling orders.
This is 3gb total for a year and not 3gb per month? im. it too sure how this is a good deal. I guess if you never think you'll use it, but iD use this up every month or two at the longest.
I pay $12 per month for 5gb of data through FreedomPop with unlimited text/minutes.
^ Yes per year. Depends on where you spend your time. If you have wifi available where you use the phone most, your mobile data can be substantially decreased and you can even turn off the app access to mobile data (except for MMS use) and a decent (strong/uncongested) wifi signal is usually higher throughput, at least till you're on 5G.
Regardless, I bought this but have now requested a refund because they changed the product. This same listing was formerly for a 3 SIM pack for all their carriers with a separate airtime card but is now just an AT&T SIM with the service linked to it after activation. They really shouldn't have reused the same listing then switched the product.
FRAUD! Read the feedback on posted for one month. Full of complaints that purchasers only received a SIM, no plan. I ordered this and also got a SIM pack with printing on the back, "Plans Starting at $15 Sold Separately." Even the front of the package I received reads different from the one advertised here, and neither says, "3GB/1200/1200". DO NOT BUY THIS!
I ordered two of these and got just SIMs, no airtime cards. Because the airtime could already be loaded on the SIMs, I tried to activate, and Tracfone refused, saying I needed to also buy airtime. When I complained, they told me to ask , because "they're the ones who sold it to you." (I tried to explain that Tracfone was the seller, but got nowhere.) I then sent a message through , and got a response from the Tracfone "Executive Resolution Department" saying the airtime was already on the SIM, I simply needed to activate it, and if I had questions to call Tracfone customer service. Went through the whole process again, and still wasn't able to activate. So basically, this is looking like a $1 SIM being sold for $30. As mentioned above, the feedback shows that lots of other people are having the same problem.
I totally agree with the above as it has happen to me for two months in a row now. I only received a SIM card with no pin and no pre-load time. Just a SIM worth $0.99 and nothing more. I have also wasted many hours on both purchases with Tracfone support. They con'd me into buying a separate phone plan from their web site by telling me that the first SIM was only good for existing phone plans, which was wrong. The card I got from Tracfone web site installed and worked fine but the SIM from Tracfone would not install and Tracfone tech support finally after many calls and hours told me to return it to because they have no info about purchases. This was in March. It took a few weeks but I got my money back through .
Then this deal pops up and I thought maybe Tracfone has got it worked out now. I turns out I was wrong. Many hours over many days, Tracfone support did get the SIM to install but it had no time, no data, and no text. No nothing on the SIM. Sent in request for a refund to and now Tracfone has me emailing the purchase info outside of messaging and asked me to close the return in , which I will not do until this is settled.
TO ALL, AVOID THIS LIKE COVID 19 or I mean the plague. Do not wait to see if SIM is preloaded because I have received to blank SIM card over the past two months.
