SO I was able to buy one of these. Of course not real close to my house, but still able to secure one none the less. I did have to buy it via google pay as when I checked out normally, it would indicate they were sold out everywhere within 250 miles. Hope that helps someone.
Lol..they just wanted to get you all worked up. You probably buy at 800 now. Shame on you. I will not be buying at $800 now, and shame is on Best Buy, not us. This is a deals site, if you don't like deals why are you here? LOL
IMPORTANT UPDATE AND FYI: I was one of the lucky few that was able to get an order in online before they zero'd out the inventory at all the stores then correcting the price to reflect 400 off and not 400 total. NATURALLY, I also received the email informing me they cancelled the order and refunded the money. SO.... I went into the local Best Buy and showed them yesterday's order and cancellation. The customer service guy went and checked in the store to make sure they had them in stock and then proceeded to honor yesterday's order via price match. So it was a whole new order, but he marked it down from the 800 to 400. MORAL of the story: They do NOT have to legally honor the price mistake, but as a store policy, they will honor it if at all possible and/or the software allows them to do so. I would post photos of the receipt and the picture of them trying to load it in my Man Van, but Ben's doesn't have that option. So if you were one of the one's who got canceled and you have the time or will power to be nice to the customer service representative . Give it a shot and you may get that deal.
