I bought this when it hit $214. The app said the battery was at 79% so I tried it right out of the box. It could get to 17.4mph under no load holding the rear of the bike up in the air, but struggled to go over 7mph with a rider on it. Average speed for a 1.1 mile trip was 5.2mph with full acceleration the entire time. This also dropped reported battery life to 61%. Perhaps ok for a very small/very light rider, would not recommend for an adult.

Install the Swag Cycle II app on your phone and connect to the bike with bluetooth. The app will get you up to about 15 mph. I can’t say that the app will extend your range. The unit I recieved (at about the same time you got yours) seems to have decent range but I seriously doubt it will go the claimed distance.
