Update #3 [11:35AM PT]: Move over Best Buy, Walmart will be taking orders for the PlayStation 5 (Standard) at 12PM PT.  The PS5 Digital Edition will also be available. Probably can't go any worse!

Update #2 [10:55AM PT]: Some people have had some luck, but Best Buy's announcement for this sale is getting ratioed on Twitter.

Sometime after 6AM PT today, Best Buy will be taking orders for the new Sony PlayStation 5 gaming console for $500.

The Digital Edition, the PS5 without a disc drive, is $400 with free shipping.
