1500 watts is about the LIMIT for 120V heaters. A watt by any other name would still be one Joule per second... Whether you buy a $250 giant or a tiny unit like this one, the amount of energy that goes into the room will be EXACTLY THE SAME. This warms up far more quickly than radiator-style or "oil-filled" units, occupies very little space, and is no more likely to break than high priced units.
