Last year the samsung 4k 55" was selling for a shade less than $3,000. But I don't think that model was a 60 refresh

By this time next year this thing should cost half whatever it costs right now.

^ That's all you're going to get for now. I think even the current HDMI cables can't handle more than that.

This is true, but 120hz refers to the latency inherent in all LCD displays. When an LCD refreshes it can cause some artifacts so doubling the refresh speed makes it less likely to have artifacts during high motion. Its all on the display end, your HDMI cables are doing their job just fine at 60Hz

Not just for 4k TV content. Also high definition photos from high end cameras look gorgeous on this.

I actuallty scored one on Thanksgiving. Sure, i get it that its 60 not 120 mhz but for the price and clarity this is most definitely a big upgrade for us. Picture quality is great. All my cable programming seems better and the netflix 4k streams are greatt..

Yes 60hz for 4k resolution -Sometimes even less. To transfer a 4k frame 120 times a second exceeds the bandwidth available on current HDMI. I don't think you'll even find any content at those specs

Is this HDMI 2.0? Seems like a good deal for 4K. I keep reading Standards aren't out so why are they selling them??
