Microsoft have just announced Hololens 2 so it looks like Samsung and others are offloading the older model as quickly as possible.

Thanks #2, I missed that very important point.
I just read HP are looking at the $2000 price point for Hololens 2 but that is still way above this deal price.
I intend to see if Best Buy have any display models of the Samsung Odyssey+ to try before I buy. Last time I checked their price was also $299.
