It works very nicely, especially driving highly efficient speakers.
I would note that all of these $100-200 complete amplifiers with tubes are only using the tube for the pre-amp path. Power amplification is being done by the new generation of class D amps that have great sound quality.

this one appears to have a solid state class A/B output. The black cover appears to look like tube transformers, but its just for looks, it's empty!
