Ah, for a PNY No... $310 (Edit: Oh this is a 4Gb if that's a value to you then perhaps being there's not rebate) should be the general starting price for 770's. Nvidia is still clutching to the old "mining craze" pricing, and well the "early glory days" of the inordinate GK104 pricing.

    There's the ASUS GTX770-DC2OC-2GD5 GTX 770 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 for $299.40 - after a 9% off promo code EMCPDPD27, (ends 6/12) and just a $10.00 mail-in rebate and Free Shipping!

    There's an XFX Double D R9-280X-TDFD 3GB 384-Bit for $265 -AR$20 w/FS and Gold Rewards 3 Free games.
    http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=91053&vpn=R9%2D280X%2DTDFD&manufacture=XFX&promoid=1068

Here this XFX and the Asus above are true competitors I see the 3GB 384-Bit of the 280X a boon for the person that's now 1080p, but at one point aspires to a monitor upgrade before the next generation card as a path to tide you over. http://www.hardocp.com/article/2014/02/16/xfx_double_dissipation_r9_280x_video_card_review/1
