It's not so much age that would limit one's ability to wear slim fit suits, but one's figure. If you're even a bit chubby, slim fit anything may not be all that flattering.

So my friend's daughter went to winter formal recently and this kid (her date) shows up wearing a tight cheap suit. When they got the pictures back with the awkward poses it was revealed that the kid was sportin' a chubby in his tight suit. We laughed for a long time. Kid hasn't learned the art of the tuck yet.
