I've had Panasonic phones for years. They are almost perfect (except that you can't turn off the speaker phone without ending the call).
I agree...I wouldn't let the lack of any reviews on this phone system dissuade me if I were in the market for 'em.
My 5-1/2 -year-old set of AT&T cordless phones (4 handsets with digital answering machine base made by Panasonic, I think) are on their original rechargeable batteries, still work flawlessly, and I can turn the speakerphone on & off without disconnecting a phone call.

Pretty sure AT&T are still made by VTech, though my AT&T DECT has worked well. I did have to replace the batteries after a few years, even on phones that were seldom used and just cooked on the charger base for years, but a 4 pack of generics on was only $13 or so. Pack means multi-cell shrink wrapped with pigtail connector.

Thanks, Dave. Whoever makes 'em, my AT&T phones are very high-quality, in my opinion!!!
