Speak for yourself. Ever since I got a T100 baytrail based win8.1 tablet, both Android and IOS would feel like a downgrade. For me, it is a true laptop and tablet replacement for both work and play. It comes with a real OS with real apps.

It is not as powerful as laptop, it is not as good as tablet (Just not enough of apps and the quality of app, just was not as good as ipad)
half laptop and half tablet
If you only use the tablet for only web searching and reading book, its fine,
but on tablet part just wasn't as good as IOS or Android.

Apparently you have no idea what you're talking about. you range the venue8 last yet I can play battlefield 3 on mine and many games that iPad can only dream about running. Apps are tune down pc programs so they can run with limited resources. I can and am emulate Dreamcast with my DV8P at a smooth 50 fps. N64 is of course no problem.
The thing that give you away is "...not as powerful as laptop". most laptops are core2duo or i3. This is i5 highly capable cpu. How capable? it uses the same cpu in MacBook. faster than the MB Air and slower than the MacBook Pro. Reviews has compare it against the Air. Just search for it.
I bought the last two humble bundles and they work great on my lowly venue8. Dust runs beautifully with my xbox360 controller just like on my xb360. My old Chuzzle and plants vs zombies run great with touch screen (these are old programs yet I can still run them with touch)
The window experience index is 4.1 which is the speed of the 3d graphic adapter. cpu & ssd is 6.2 which better my pavilion dm3 by a lot (3 years old laptop). most of the 1st gen i3 lap tops got index around 4-5 so your statement is not true.
Next time you state something please have experience/facts beforehand.
The price performance ratio is excellent and spec wise it's hard to beat: this is a core i5 computer with a full HD screen. It should be a no brainer to pick this tablet, especially at this price, but in my opinion it has two huge usability issues: very short battery life and a resolution/screen size combo that are completely inadequate to run legacy apps -- a problem when the ability to run legacy apps is one of its biggest selling points.
Also, the keyboard covers are awful, but you can use any keyboard you want.
Finally, it's very hard to take apart without damaging it so upgrading the drive is not an easy option -- pick the 128GB version.

Too bad the MS app store isn't great to actually benefit the tablet experience.
