Definite DEAL!!
I was going to order one of these by Jan 31 for the BB Groupon at $180.
Then this little Gem popped up and BooYa, a new quad core phone!!!
Thanks Ben!!!
Looks like this deal was a little slow to hit BB as 568 purchases were already on record at
LG must be dumping a load of these NOS units. Their contract obligations to provide replacement units to some carrier must've just expired and these things are flooding the streets.
Sortof not liking to show my lack of knowledge here but ... What carrier can / could this phone be used with? I have a sim with Lycamobile and they are inexpensive, I use very little data (IE not download a movie in a million years on the phone, just light internet, light email) but I send lots of text msgs and also heavy voice usage, lots of minutes. Who would be a good provider? This isn't tied to Virgin/Sprint is it -- I hate those people with a passion bordering on, um, not sure. But I find them loathsome, because they are. Anyways, this phone can be used with what companies without contracts etc and etc, hopefully unlimited text and voice and some data -- any inputs here?
Virgin, Sprint, Verizon are CDMA. This is a GSM phone for AT&T, T-Mobile, Straight talk. I believe Lycamobile is for the UK(?) so this GSM phone should work at 3G speeds.
Straight talk is doing Verizon now. But with CDMA phones of course. But they are really beating around the bush about whether my droid will work on their system. But they want me to buy a $15 NAC to find out.....non-refundable.
