Be sure to use a site like PCpartspicker to make sure your motherboard is compatible with this processor before getting this. A super powerful processor like this one is really the most important investment in any PC build because you can always upgrade the other components over time as your needs change but having one of the most powerful processors will keep you from having to do another build again for much longer.
One of the best processors but runs pretty hot. The tdp is off. It's more like 150w tdp+ Or you'll thermal throttle. (I've dealt with over 18 of these)
