We've had one of these for a couple of years now and actually use it way more than I would have thought. It's very effective for meat dishes in particular, as they seem to always turn out tender no matter the cut. The main problem with this is storage, as it takes up a bit of room in the cupboard. Overall though, we're happy to own it and have put it to good use.
I second your sentiment on the storage factor... We ended up raising the lower shelf in the guest bathroom linen closet and storing it on the floor down there. No other option really. I wash it before each use... No biggie. Totally agree that any cut of meat can be a culinary delight in a pressure cooker with the proper seasonings. Mix2 would have to agree.
