The H8F series is one of the best deals in 4K HDR TVs at present, with far better specs than any of the 2018 models in the same price range, and with a far better price than any of the 2018/2019 models that much their specs. I was as shocked as anyone, and realized just how much a slave to branding I am when I was considering paying MORE for an objectively lesser TV simply because it didn't say 'Hisense' in the front.

I finally came to my senses, and now I'm instead conflicted as to whether to get the 65" H8F (MSRP: $700), which was announced as having 60 local dimming zones, 700 nits peak brightness, and 90% DCI-P3 coverage, and, from various reviews, seems to have good color reproduction, good HDR performance, low input lag, and an actual peak brightness of around 600 nits, or to wait and get the 65" H9F when it is released next month (MSRP: $1,000), which has a true 120 Hz panel, 132 dimming zones, 1000 nits peak brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 coverage.

Both use fancy-pants quantum dots, have skinny fancy-pants metal bezels, run Android TV (with an official
    Amazon
Prime Video app coming in July, after being Shield-exclusive for so long) with Assistant integration, and come with a voice-enabled remote.

Ideally, the H9F would be discounted for Prime Day, and I could pick it up for close to the H8F's regular price, but with it being released the same month, I kind of doubt it...

Either one should be a pretty big upgrade from my 2013 60" LG Plasma, which I love but, naturally, is neither 4K nor has HDR, weighs over 100lbs, and generates enough heat to keep the whole living room several degrees above the rest of the floor. It can take over bedroom duty for my 10 year old 40" pre-LED LCD Toshiba, assuming I can somehow teleport the behemoth across the house, because I know from when I got it that carrying it is physically impossible.

    Btw,
    Amazon
has it for the same price (as of writing). Well, technically, $0.01 cheaper:
