Maybe he mocked them because of the huge difference in meat between their pictures of it piled high with a nice pinkish tan hue, then the actual sammich with a thin dull gray layer. I'd still gladly eat one if it were handed to me but the enjoyment to cost ratio is lower than at other restaurants.
Never understood the draw to Arby's. Their roast beef sandwiches are nowhere close to what I think of or want when I think "roast beef sandwich". It's like that pulverized and formed meat you buy in those little 3oz plastic bag pouches. Yuk.
