It was priced about where it should be on sale. Name brand components but you can get the next tier up name brand components on something costing $300 or so, and I question the virtue of it having the front suspension at all, probably so mushy that a fixed front fork would have been better for the money, particularly since these are the large and XL sized frames meaning a heavier rider all else being equal.
Still, using name brand components means it's a standard/modular setup unlike some of the cheapest so-called MTB, that allows swapping whatever you want to, so you aren't paying extra for things you may not need, rather upgrading what you do.
