I can't imagine you get more than an hour or so with this kind of power draw on a battery. This, like their vacs and work site lights require a cord, which is the reason DeWalt includes it. Another sign is that they give no estimate of usage expectancy. I have found the batteries only work for tools with short bursts of use, like drills saws, etc.
Solow has a wonderful imagination, it's just that he has been disappointed from battery operated equipment. He should be skeptical. Battery technology still sucks today.
As for the reviews, you better run your claim by swreynolds. He roots out one star reviews and check for the reliability of flowery ratings...
It would not be hard to get reasonable airflow from an 18V fan operating at 1 amp, which would give it 6 hours from a 6Ah pack, except it has adjustable speed which should extend run time.
I received the fan yesterday and am testing it right now. Using a 2Ah it has been working for over 4 hours. It has been working the entire time that I have been outside using my cordless Dewalt Weed Wacker & Blower (both of which are not "short burst of use " tools.) Apparently battery technology is better than you imagined.
Edit: Fan was still running at the 12 hour mark when I turned it off.

You apparently have no imagination then. Reviews on & tool sites claim the run time is in hours, not minutes.

Thank you:-)
Just don't expect an 11" fan to move mountains.
