Expect to wait at least three months from the final mailing date of the promotion to start bugging them about the rebate. Expect to make a couple of phone calls through out the rebate process. I'm still waiting on a couple rebates from Feb-March. Keep copies, etc.

I've literally never had a problem with
Newegg
rebates, and filed more than a dozen of them last year. The registration is online, then you print out the rebate, slap your UPC on it, and send it in. They send you an e-mail letting you know they got it, one to say that they've approved it, and a final one to let you know they are processing the payment back. If you register and forget to send it in, they even send you an e-mail to remind you that you have a rebate to send in.  So I guess YMMV?

I have also been waiting for a rebate from March. I got the approval email and never anything in the mail from them.

If there was no angle, the discount would be immediately available at purchase time.
Rebates are often unreliable or take great effort to obtain.
That's just the way of the world.
If you want a straightforward price, don't buy stuff with rebates. Then they would stop using this scheme to avoid or delay giving discounts.

^ I could see people forgetting how to do an old fashion letter, addressing an envelope and putting a stamp on it (lol) but rebates have a difficultly level of about 2 out of 10 (requires reading skill therefore not a 1) and in recent years I've received every one I submitted with no followup needed.

The only way rebates have let me down was my own fault for forgetting the deadline. In this case it's 07-06-18 postmark date.

"According to our records you have submitted a
