I got one of these on sale a couple of years back. It works well at keeping things "cooler than the surrounding area." The fan is a little loud. If I had it to do all over again I would get a unit with an actual compressor and refrigerant.

You'll never regret a compressor based cooler. It will cool from 50F to -08F
They are also very energy efficient.
