AVG used to be my go-to virus protection but it has gotten progressively shadier over the last few months. In one of their latest updates they included a clause that lets them give your contact information to their business partners for purposes of marketing.

Even free spyware is still spyware.

Don't believe in mail in rebate , got rip off so many times , been there and done that.
If vendor can not offer instant rebate then forget it ! life is too short to deal with corporate scammers

It has gotten to the point where the cure is worse than the disease with practically all of these anti-virus total protection suites.

It could be considered ironic that they're offering PC Tuneup to supposedly speed up your PC to compensate.

Stick with Kaspersky. Their refunds always come through, albeit very late, and their software is the best.
