    Looks like a sweet deal, but... that rebate is not linked on the
    newegg
    page as far as I can tell and I have a feeling that even though it doesn't seem to mention it directly (there is mention of original purchaser which is somewhat vague), it does not apply to the refurbished item. I'd verify veggie purchase because that rebate is practically a third of the price and is a deal breaker.

    Govinda, I'm sure you can register for the rebate as you did, but my concern is that the refurb unit may ship without the original UPC code necessary to actually claim it successfully. I am going to buy one tomorrow once I confirm with
    Newegg
    that I will be getting an original UPC. If anyone has any info on this, please let us know. The V.me discount ends tomorrow but I will risk that to confirm the $100 rebate will apply. I'll post here with what I find out. At $225 this is an unbeatable price for an i3. Unit selling new on
