Yeah good deal no doubt, however look for rebates from local utility companies. With sales, might be worth going with a nest or ecobee

Reason 1 why i would chose this (or anything) over the nest. You need to give Nest access to your google account in order to use it. - feelinabitgreek

You can simply create a Google account specifically for your home automation devices. You don't have to use your personal Google account.
