I just researched it and you can't record to your own local (e.g. home-based) storage system such as a computer or appliance - the data always goes into the cloud and that's all you can have. My concern about privacy is a minor one, but it does exist. I also don't not being able to use the very cheap and abundant storage that I already have. If I want remote access to my storage I already have it. So I'm not buying this.
