why would you want to decant a whiskey? I thought adding air to mature wines.

You only use this to serve cheap whisky to guests you don't particularly like. No one who drinks good whiskey will ever pour out their good stuff into another container.

reviews state the stopper is made from plastic. That should be a big enough red flag to keep anyone from ordering this junk.
