First hand experience, dont use these guys. They **** horribly. They have excellent support, but the problems persist. You cannot connect via FTP and download 100 or more files at a time. The timeouts are ridiculous. Dont believe the hype. You get what you pay for.
Hello I am part of the WebHostFace team and I have read your comment. Please allow to help you out and provide you with an answer that can be beneficial to you and to all our prospective customers. Indeed we have ftp limitation of no more than 10 simultaneous uploads or downloads per IP. It is industry standard for shared hosting and it means up to 10 files per second limit. If you have 100 files or 1000 files for example we can help you use an FTP client - FileZilla and make a queue of thousands of files that are send at batches of 10. This is just a small part of the tips and tricks we give to our customers daily on livechat and tickets as we strive to give our customers the utmost user experience. On top of that we can help our customers grow their websites - hosting is not only giving you the space for the site - we know that hosting has evolved and we can help you make your website even more functional and popular. Hope this answer is something that will help you in the future, no matter if you use us or another host.
The price is good. However, the biggest concern is the up time averaging around 80%. If it's up -- everything is fast and good. The support folks are responsive and have a answer everytime -- DDOS attack, will move to new server etc -- but up time issues remain.
^ Only 80% uptime? That can't be right, can't see how any host could stay in business with it that low. Even 98% is unacceptable to most people unless it's free.
Indeed we had some server connectivity issues concerning third party interventions. To be more precise we experienced unprecedented slow queries DDOS attacks that were impossible to predict. It took us some time to deal with the problem. We realize the importance of the uptime for any successful website, that is why we started an emergency website transfer procedure to a new more powerful hosting machine. As all previous reviews state - we emphasize on customer service and on top of that we improved the hardware of the hosting servers to offer even more complete hosting solution. Once again, we are sorry about the unprecedented DDOS attacks, however no one is fully ensured against such business damaging attempts.

The issue isnt the batches, the first few 50 files or so come down fine, afterwards something kicks in that stops the connections from happening. All I can say is my prior host, 1&1, never had this issue.

While you are correct, you cannot predict it, you can put measures in place that prevent or curtail the attacks. Think of it like insurance. You cant tell if you are going to be in an accident, but you better have insurance for when you do. This, to me, just shows that WHF is a very young company without the capital to invest in preventative measures, before the problem starts. Look at , Rackspace, Level3, etc. They have these devices in place. Imagine if every hosting company used this "method" of waiting until the DDOS happened before implementing a fix. The Internet would be dead.
