They get fairly high ratings from trustpilot.com. But the prices on are between $5 and $7 depending on quantity purchased. So yeah this seems to good to be true.
Well... they have a "10 year shelf life" but no mention of manufacture date, no way to know when that 10 yrs started... probably old stock, might be a deal, but then I always found the regular basics alkaline 9V to be fine for smoke detectors. They state the alkaline have 5 yr shelf life but these days, real shelf life is closer to 10 yrs anyway. However they are slightly larger than some major brands so it is worthwhile to see how much clearance the battery compartment has... if less than about 1mm clearance on the sides, they may not fit.
