Trying to begin working out and getting fit can be really daunting.  With what is seemingly a billion different sources and all sorts of things you can buy, a lot of people don’t know where to start.  But, you can start plenty of different types of fitness workouts and regimes, for free, and oftentimes right in your own home!  Here are nine YouTube fitness channels to look at, and get you started on the path to fitness today!

Fitness Blender

Fitness Blender is one of the most popular YouTube fitness channels, and for good reason.  Fitness blender has a variety of workouts available, of different times and different skill levels.  Most of Fitness Blender’s videos are HIIT and cardio focused.

Yoga with Adriene

If yoga is more your thing, then you can’t do better than Yoga with Adriene.  Adriene has a bunch of yoga videos available to choose from, and covers beginner poses, more advanced moves, and also workouts to help relieve muscle stress.

The Fitness Marshall

A lot of people generally think that dance oriented workouts are silly, but nothing is off the table for getting fit, provided you have fun!  The Fitness Marshall has a bunch of different dance videos, focused around cardio workouts that are designed to get you moving and sweating.

Blogilates

Blogilates is a channel that focuses on pilates, which is somewhat similar to yoga but focused more on building a strong core.  This channel has pilates videos for all pilates levels, including some very beginner friendly videos to get you started.

Millionaire Hoy

Millionare Hoy is a very positive trainer, and his videos focus a lot on getting active, and getting stronger.  Other than his motivating mindset, Hoy also has a bunch of 30-day and 90-day workout plans, giving you a structured workout regime to get though and making it easier to stick to a fitness plan.

Jessica Smith TV

Jessica Smith TV is a YouTube channel focused more towards women’s fitness.  Most of Jessica’s workouts are cardio based coupled with light weights, but she also as light, positive videos like the ‘Walk and Talks’ above, which offer motivation and a less hardcore mindset to fitness.

The Body Coach

The Body Coach’s channel mainly focuses on HIIT workouts, which are fast, high intensity cardio workouts.  Like many channels, he has videos for all fitness levels, and this is especially important with an intense cardio workout like HIIT.  He also has videos that feature different types of equipment (or no equipment), in order to inject some variety into the workouts.

Zuzka Light

Zuzka Light’s workout videos are very much focused on strength training, and feature videos with and without workout equipment.  She also has videos of various lengths, including 5 and 10 minute workout videos to get in a quick workout even on the busiest days.

Physio Fitness

When you get injured, it can be really hard to workout and re-strengthen the injured body part.  Adding on the fact that physical therapy can cost a lot of money, and is not always necessary for more minor injuries (that can still affect strength) and it can be hard to know where to begin.  Physio Fitness focuses on exercises and workouts that can help restore motion and strength in commonly injured body parts, making it so you can get back to normal mobility and your normal workout routine.

9 Free YouTube Fitness Channels to Get you Moving

The loudest voices are often the youngest ones. It’s time to let the wiser among us splatter the internet with their opinions on the latest Batman v Superman trailer. Enter a new Elders React video from YouTube’s Fine Brothers Entertainment – the perspective on this “hot button issue” in today’s oh-so-important debate is refreshing in itself.

And, of course, Superman would win (barring deux ex machina in the form of alien minerals).

You see, screaming children, this is how you enjoy all the crazy shit Hollywood is putting out these days. You remember that movies lacked sound and color in the beginning. Also, Christopher Reeves is obviously sexier than stone-faced Henry Cavill.

A couple notable quotes:

• “He’s running into it, what’s wrong with this dude!” followed up by “Here’s comes 9/11” (perhaps the most apt description of this entire genre of film).
• “The guy who started Facebook is in this.”
• “Very confusing. Who’s the good guy?”
• “Is that Xena?”
• “Well that was sort of like taking absolutely everything from every place you could possibly think of and gush it all together.” That might be a better description.

Be sure to watch the follow-up questions for a bit of a history lesson on the perception of comics and, specifically, Superman and Batman. This is from people who don’t worship these characters like some would the Bible.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters March 25, 2016. That said, what we’re all truly anticipating is the next Batman v Superman trailer, release date still pending.

Until then, we’re sure to eat up trailers for Captain America: Civil War, Suicide Squad and, if we’re lucky, a teaser trailer for the next Batman v Superman trailer, which in itself is likely to receive much simultaneous backlash and praise.

Video game genres are ridiculous. They’re amorphous to the point of nondescript. Some genres are actually just groupings of mechanics found in video games that belong to larger genres. Some genres are just different kinds of movies, from horror and science fiction to even romantic comedies. There are genres of genres, basically.

And then there’s the Japanese role-playing game, or JRPG, which is exactly as it sounds and nothing at all. A JRPG is a role-playing game (which, really, what’s a role-playing game anyway), that was made in Japan. And yet there’s something more to the definition. There’s something more to the quality of it. And who better to define that quality than the analytical geniuses over at College Humor?

YouTube Highlight: Every JRPG Ever

If you’ve watched a cartoon in the last 50 years, you’ve seen the infuence of Chuck Jones. It’s inescapable. He’s the John Lassetter of Looney Tunes. Actually, Lassetter is the Chuck Jones of Pixar. He created – directed, wrote, animated, etc. – a vast many of Warner Bros. short cartoons over the course of his life (1912-2002), and him and his work have been deconstructed and studied so widely as to almost render any further observation on the subject redundant.

And yet, today’s YouTube highlight from the channel Every Frame a Painting manages to revitalize the study. If you want to understand why Bugs Bunny, the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote, Tom and Jerry, Daffy Duck and so many other cartoons worked so well and stand so strong even today, this video his how you do it:

If you’re sick of people talking about which is better in a decade-old Halo vs. Call of Duty debate, look no further than this Youtube import for a more satisfying kind of debate.

Here’s Halo vs. Call of Duty from the RackaRacka Youtube channel. Be warned, it’s quite violent and profane. But it’s worth it.

In a world where video game-to-reality Youtube videos are ever competing for the most ridiculous, most hyperactive and most absurd, I feel zero doubt in the assertion that this latest explosion of science fiction and military violence currently takes the cake.

There is no shortage of maniacal, geek-friendly content on their channel, ranging from DC vs. Marvel to a Ronald McDonald massacre. All of their videos take advantage of the group’s unique blend of practical and special effects. That’s admirable, considering so many channels feature just one skill over another.

As for their humor, well, that comes down to personal taste.
