With all of my favorite TV shows on summer break, I’m happily snatching up any Must-See TV crumbs I can find, whether it’s following celebs on twitter or checking out summer movies starring familiar faces. Parks and Recreation happens to be a favorite of mine, and I’m not ashamed to say I let out a little squeal when I came across Jen Lewis‘ interpretation of classic children’s books with Parks and Recreation characters over on Flavorwire. I got the giggles with every new title, from Where the Wyatt Things Are to Donna and the Giant Mimosa.

I feel like there must be a market for these books, and with such brilliant covers, most of the work is done. I’m officially asking someone to write about Chris Traeger’s Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Literally Bad Day. A break between season seems like a perfect time to get to writing fan fiction.

I can’t get enough of Daft Punk’s Get Lucky, and I know I’m not the only one. It’s joining the ranks of Somebody That I Used to Know and Call Me Maybe as the earworm of the moment, and I’m perfectly fine with that. I hear it everywhere from the grocery store to the bar and bumping out of a fellow driver’s car in between.

A clever frenchman rocking the handle PV NOVA has created a genius interpretation of the hot song as though it was created in various different decades. The Evolution of Get Lucky takes listeners from 1900 to 2020 in the span of three minutes, and it’s well worth a listen. Not surprisingly, the 1970’s version doesn’t sound all that different from the original.

The mini fridge: a staple of college dorm rooms and man caves alike has finally arrived in an iteration that doesn’t make it look like simply a smaller version of a useful appliance. No, the Marshall Fridge actually looks like something you’d want in your room even if you don’t have the need to keep leftovers chilled or always have a cold brew at the ready.

I love a good meme as much as the next internet addict web savvy individual, though it’s not often that one makes me want to go adopt a cat right this second so I can be part of the phenomenon. (Side note, why isn’t meme-nomenon a word yet? Probably because it’s hard to read and not think of these guys.)

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Cat Beard aka Cat Bearding. The simple act of getting nose to nose with a furry feline results in an amazing optical illusion turning cats into the cutest facial hair around. Bonus points for those who get the crazy eyes in their photos for extra LOLs.

Everyone knows the furry underbelly of a cat is the softest, most pet-able part, but who knew it also served as an excellent disguise?
