You know, one thing that peeves me off no end about the iMac (I own a few Intels and not jumping just yet until a bigger screen comes along), is how Apple will give you a great screen, solid OS, lots of capability etc except NO VIDEO INPUT. So long after you've found out your 8GB of FIXED RAM in the M series is just not enough to hack it, or when it no longer gets security updates, you're left with an old iMac of greatly diminished value.

Having a HDMI in would introduce a parallel and elongated life - this is the kind of thing that really does help reduce computer landfill, but "planned obsolescence" is sadly the norm here. You can always repurpose it as a monitor if you had video in - I have a 2008 Samsung (T260HD?) that we still use in the house for both office and kiddo's PS3 and it works just fine. Sure I've tried one of those video capture dongles for $10 off

to try to get video in for my intel versions... don't try it, they're junk - atrocious. A HDMI in would have been a perfect solution. Even my 2012 imac has a really really good QHD? screen that I would love to keep using.

An upgrade from 256 GB SSD to 512GB SSD for $150 xtra is just a rip off scam from Apple !
