@zilym, I have had 49" TV's for a long time, bought a 55" not too long ago (I measured wrong) put it in my room, when I come home at night and the wife is watching TV, I can watch what she is watching from a couple houses down. I can't imagine how far I would be able to see it from at 75". I would for sure buy it at $2599 if I had the liquid funds.
^ LOL, yes potentially, but that's what shades are for, no?
It really depends on the size of your room and the wall it goes unto. I decided against the 75" and went with 65" when I bought a new LG few years ago, despite friends encouraging me to go big. I just didn't want the TV to take over the whole room. Having said that enjoying a good movie, watching a ball game is always a pleasure on bigger screen.
The bigger question is where's the 8K content at this point. Streaming is barely catching up to 4K, now how many years later?
The other problem I see is I can see the AC wifi may have problems with 8K content, when it ever comes around.
I have had a 75" for like 5+ years now. At first it seemed big, now I look at the wall and wonder if I have room for a 90".
It's crazy how your expectations adjust. I use to have a 120" projection setup that was my everyday "TV" for everything. Now I have an outdoor 220" projection setup for special occasions.
