Not sure about the refurbished ones, but I purchased 3 of these at Wal-Mart a couple years ago when they went on clearance for $50 to make room for the newer 40V that only comes with one battery.
I've been quite happy with them around the house as well as up at the cabin where they take more of a beating as it isn't maintained as often.
