While a game is nice, $150 isn't any great price break. Me I'd do the Micro Center for a 2600X and the Gigabyte B450M DS3H AM4 mATX board for $220 that's after there $30 bundle reduction. Those together are a strong foundation for a competent gaming build.
The 2600X comes packaged with the Wraith Spire cooler, that's just has the LED ring... Sure not the fancy heat-pipes LED Prism Fan, it's still a substantial cooler. It works good for the boosting the X's Turbo Speed (4.25GHz) that model offers, but yea no real OC'n use. A 2600 provides the little Wraith Stealth which is acceptable, but another step-down in temp and noise. That $20 extra the 2600X and Wraith Spire means you don't need to right-off go buying an aftermarket cooler, plus you get the higher Turbo Speed, which works almost as good (if not better) than the constant OC 2600 that you'd have to buy a better cooler to achieve.
